The water, a cross between olive green and baby poop brown – yet it's clear. The shallow stream
is reflective and transparent but it's brown. I'm told the color it's due to the leaves. I was thinking a lot about monuments and their verticality when looking at this scene. What if my counter monument(s) is horizontal? What are the implications. I wrestle with the ideas versus object and how to best use the flatness of photogaphy....
